ABOUT FELDMAN'S FAVES

During the pandemic, staying connected was so important for all of us. While most of our interactions had suddenly converted to video calls, I wanted to find another way for the members of BL5 to connect without the pressure of logging in to yet another Zoom.  It was important to me to check in and make sure people were staying healthy and safe, and of course, remembering to docket daily.

Rather than focussing on work or the virus, I set out to connect on a more personal level. It was my hope we would gain a deeper understanding of each other beyond our abilities to negotiate indemnity provisions, draft prospectuses or replace and/or defend boards.

​

I started sharing my favourite books and podcasts and invited others to contribute theirs as well. As our section discussions became more interesting and intense, I grew even more excited about sharing ideas and having these conversations - in fact I found it to be a joyful experience that I cherished. As a result, “Jon’s Book and Podcast Reviews” became a weekly event and a labour of love, which has ultimately resulted in getting to know many Goodmans people in a way I never had before.
